President Draupadi Murmu to inaugurate Mysuru Dasara in Karnataka

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday said President of India Draupadi Murmu has given her consent to open Mysuru Dasara-2022, which will start from September 26 in Mysuru.
He told reporters that he had written a letter to Murmu on September 6 inviting her to open the Mysuru Dasara this year, for which the office of the President has confirmed her willingness to participate in the inauguration.
Mysuru Dasara is world renowned as tourists not only from India but also from across the globe visit Mysuru to witness the festivities.
The grand 10-day festival marks the victory of Lord Durga over Mahishasur. It spans over nine nights, a period known as Navratri, and reaches a grand finale on Vijayadashmi.
