8:30 pm IST: Croatia (Q) 0-0 Belgium

8:30 pm IST Canada 1-2 Morocco (Q)

12:30 am IST (Friday): Germany vs Costa Rica

12:30 am IST (Friday): Spain vs Japan

Half-time: Germany 1-0 Costa Rica

That's the end of the first half. Serge Gnabry's goal has given Germany the 1-0 lead at the break but Hansi Flick's men will be looking for more, knowing that Spain also headed to the break with just a 1-0 lead in the other Group E match.

Serge Gnabry had a chance to double the lead, so did Jamal Musiala, who has been Germany's best player with his fiery forays and dribbles in the final third. But Keylor Navas has done well to keep it 1-0 and keep Costa Rica in the hunt.

Toward the end of the first half, Germany looked like losing concentration as a defensive error from Antonio Rudiger saw Fuller taking a shot. However, Manuel Neuer was there to save the day for Germany.

It's all up for the grabs in the next 45 minutes.
