Umar Riaz is ‘very clear’ on his friendship with Rashami Desai: ‘We don’t believe in dragging something for PR’
Recently, Umar Riaz shared in a exclusive interview that he did not flaunt his friendship with Rashami Desai just for PR, and that both of them are happy in their space.
Doctor-turned-actor Umar Riaz will be soon seen hosting the MTV show D2R Mr & Miss India Runway Model. The show’s concept combines dating with runway. In a conversation with LAKSHY DREAM FOUNDATION GLOBAL NEWS , Umar spoke about not consciously picking anything after his appearance on Bigg Boss 15, and shared how through the course of this reality show,
he will navigate youngsters on the fashion and dating front. The ex-Bigg Boss contestant also mentioned how he believes in old-school romance and wishes to get married. Umar also spoke about his friendship with Rashami Desai.
Talking about dealing with rumors of him and Rashami dating, he said, “Whenever I meet somebody from outside the industry, they ask me if I had a thing with Rashami. I explain how it was just a show, and we are good friends. People keep sharing something on social media, and that gives people the idea that something is going on.”
Commenting on their friendship, Umar further continued, “Today, a lot of couples are together only for publicity. They are together to get work but I am not like that. I never flaunted my friendship with Rashami. She is very happy in her space, and so am I. We don’t believe in dragging something for PR.”
Rashami and Umar were rumored to be dating soon after Bigg Boss 15. The two were often spotted together, however, speculations of them parting ways surfaced after they unfollowed each other on social media.
A few days back Umar had also exclusively spoken to us about his brother Asim Riaz’s break-up with Himanshi Khurana. He said, “There is always a reason for everything to happen in life, and we forget about God often. People keep coming into your life and they leave also. If you get married to them, it means that person was meant to be. If you break up, it was not meant to be. Things didn’t happen because of their reasons.
It’s their personal life, so let that relationship be where it was. Don’t give it importance like it was a divorce.” He had even explained how the couple amicably parted ways due to different religious beliefs.
Umar is currently shooting for the reality show, D2R- Mr & Miss India Runway Model that might go on air soon.
