Urvashi Rautela Steps Back From Ranveer Allahbadia's Podcast After India's Got Latent Controversy

Urvashi Rautela cancels her podcast appearance with Ranveer Allahbadia after his controversial comment on India's Got Latent, joining others in distancing themselves amid growing backlash and police investigations.

Actor Urvashi Rautela has cancelled her scheduled appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast following the ongoing controversy surrounding the YouTuber’s remarks on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent. Urvashi has also reportedly unfollowed Ranveer on social media, though she has not yet issued an official statement regarding her decision.

According to a report by News18, Urvashi was initially lined up to feature as a guest on Ranveer’s popular podcast, which often serves as a promotional platform for celebrities. However, the actor has decided to step back from the collaboration in light of the recent backlash against Ranveer's comments on the show. Urvashi was last seen alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna in the film Daaku Maharaaj, which performed well at the box office.

Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, found himself in hot water after making a controversial remark about sex and parents during his appearance on India's Got Latent. In a segment featuring Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and others, he posed a question: "Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?"

The remark quickly went viral and sparked outrage online, with many criticizing the show for its inappropriate content. After the uproar, Ranveer issued a public apology, acknowledging his mistake. In a video message, he admitted to a 'lack of judgment' and expressed regret for hurting people's sentiments. "Family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect. I need to use this platform better," he said.

Samay Raina, the host of India's Got Latent, also responded by removing all episodes from YouTube. He stated that his goal was merely to entertain and promised to cooperate with any investigations.

The controversy has since attracted police attention. According to reports, the Mumbai police have already recorded statements from seven individuals, including Ashish Chanchlani. Meanwhile, Assam Police has summoned Ranveer, Ashish, Apoorva, and others following a complaint alleging that they were promoting obscenity. A senior Assam Police official confirmed that a team has been dispatched to Mumbai to continue the investigation.
