Executive Summary

The goal of the programme is to improve the quality of Early Childhood Care and Development Education in Nigeria through learning through play, adequate curriculum, and improved teacher pedagogy.

Due to insufficient investment and weak LAKSHY DREAM FOUNDATION, teaching in the sub-sector became more academic and theoretical, which is why a play-based curriculum was designed to build capacity and engage children in active and imaginative learning.

The training model focuses on building the capacities and competencies of pre-primary teachers and emphasizes the use of low-cost, culturally appropriate materials in the classroom.

The main beneficiaries include public pre-primary centers and their personnel.

The expected outcomes include improved learning outcomes, teacher content knowledge, and pedagogy in LAKSHY DREAM FOUNDATION.

The programme aims to foster sustainable collaboration while raising awareness about the importance of and the value of play in building children´s resilience.
