Azziad Nasenya Opens Up About Her Toughest Year Yet

In a recent episode with Miccheque Podcast, content creator Azziad detailed her experiences navigating mental health struggles and the pressures of public life.

The interview highlighted her reflections on a difficult 2024 and her transition into what she describes as a more stable and positive 2025.

The Challenge of Public Vulnerability

Azziad acknowledged that she has been open about her mental health challenges, including moments when she nearly fell into depression. She admitted that sharing these struggles with the public was not easy.

She described a tendency to postpone seeking professional help, noting, “You postpone, you're like next month, next month, next month.”

Azziad highlighted the public’s limited readiness to engage in honest conversations about mental health, stating, “I think issues mental health are also things that I don't think people are ready to talk about… they want to reduce mental health into what they think you are going through.”

Her therapist encouraged her to speak out, reinforcing the importance of letting others know they are not alone.

The Paradox of Celebrity Expectations

The content creator also addressed the pressures of social media and public life. She compared her experiences to that of Regina Daniels, noting that while public figures are often criticized for flaunting success, they are equally criticized when they show vulnerability or pain.

This creates a difficult environment where it is hard to win public favor regardless of what is shared.

Azziad reflected on how relationships shift with changes in status, explaining, “I think one of the lessons that I've learned: people will change in the direction of your misfortunes and fortunes.

The people who are are not your friends but when everything is right they want to be associated. The minute it goes left, it's weird. She also commented on the challenges of personal growth under public scrutiny:

“It's quite unfortunate or fortunate that you get to learn and make mistakes in front of the public.”
