Taiwanese Celeb Once Went Nearly A Month Without Showering 'Cos She Dislikes It That Much
That is not the only hygiene, er, quirk she has.
Have you ever heard of someone who hates showering so much that they stopped doing it altogether?
In the latest episode of Taiwan variety show Chop Chop Show, the guests discussed habits they were addicted to but just couldn’t quit.
Enter Taiwanese celeb and YouTuber Lin Chia Ling, aka Qiang Qiang, 36, who unabashedly revealed that she enjoys… scratching her scalp and sniffing her fingers afterwards.
“I can go many days without showering — the longest was almost a month. And I actually liked the smell [of my scalp], it’s so nice,” she admitted, before giving a live demonstration of how she scratches her head.
When asked if her month-long shower break happened during confinement, Qiang Qiang quickly skipped past the question and continued her story instead, revealing that she would simply use a bidet toilet to clean her private areas.
“[I] just do that, and I don’t even need to touch water,” she declared.
She then reiterated: “I really don’t like taking showers. Honestly, even after exercising, I can just lie on my bed and fall asleep straight away.”
“When I finally shower after some time, I do everything at once — remove my makeup, do a number two, brush my teeth, and have an everything shower. I don’t want to enter the bathroom a second time because it feels like such a chore,” she added.
She went on to explain that she finds it “comfortable” smelling her own body scent. She also admitted to digging her ears with her fingers, before smearing the “ball of dirt” she dug out onto her mirror.
When another guest jokingly asked if she would “eat it”, Qiang Qiang didn’t exactly deny it, and instead revealed that she enjoys peeling and eating the skin from her lips.
“If I can’t tear it off properly, I’ll just eat it,” she said, adding that she sometimes peels off the entire layer of skin on her lips, even until they bleed.
She also shared that she enjoys popping pimples and finds it extremely satisfying when one finally bursts. In what she called “the spirit of research”, she even admitted to once tasting what came out of a pimple.
“When I see other people with pimples, I feel like popping them for them,” she said, recalling how she once popped a classmate’s large blackhead while they were asleep.
“When they woke up in shock, I told them, ‘It’s okay, I settled it for you,’” she said confidently.
According to Qiang Qiang, she’s simply fascinated by the “wonders” of the human body, specifically her own, and encourages others to be just as curious about theirs.
Umm, okay?
