Happy Eid-ul-Fitr 2023: Eid Mubarak

Eid ul-Fitr, also known as Ramadan Eid or Ramazan Eid, is around the corner marking the end of the holy month of fasting. Finally, after a month of Ramadan, the time of joy, feasting, and socializing is here. Celebrated on the first and second day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar,

Eid-ul-Fitr is observed with various customs and traditions by Muslims in different parts of the world.

In many Muslim-majority countries, the sighting of the moon is a significant event, and people eagerly await the announcement of Eid from local authorities or religious scholars according to which the date of the Eid celebration is decided. Once the moon is sighted, it signals the official end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid celebrations.

The night before Eid ul-Fitr, known as "Chaand Raat" or "Night of the Moon," is celebrated with great excitement. Zakat al-Fitr, also known as Sadaqat al-Fitr or Fitrah, is a mandatory act of charity given by Muslims during Ramadan and before the day of Eid.

Eid Salah, the special congregational prayers held on the morning of Eid, is an essential part of the celebration. Muslims dress in good attire and head to mosques or designated prayer areas to perform these prayers. "

Eid Mubarak" or "Happy Eid" is a common greeting exchanged during Eid al-Fitr. Muslims convey well wishes and blessings to one another.

Muslims give and receive money or gifts during Eid, known as "

Eidi," especially given to children. Eid ul-Fitr is a time for Muslims to emphasize acts of kindness, forgiveness, and reconciliation. It is encouraged to reconcile with estranged family members or friends, forgive past grievances, and spread goodwill in the community.

Eid ul-Fitr has a rich history that dates back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam. The history of Eid al-Fitr can be traced to the early days of Islam and is associated with several events and practices that are revered by Muslims.
