In the 41-sec long video, which was shot by a Palestinian journalist named Youssef Al Saifi, an Israeli tank could be seen firing at a car as it tries to evade the scene.
Three people were reportedly killed after a civilian car was blasted by an Israeli tank along the Gaza Strip's main highway, Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said on Monday. The date, time and exact location of the incident is not confirmed yet.
The video, reportedly recorded by a Palestinian journalist named Youssef Al Saifi, went viral on various social media platforms. Lasting for 41 seconds, the footage shows a tank targeting a car that was attempting to escape the area.
The video shows a car approaching a makeshift earth barrier placed across the road. The vehicle comes to a halt and then reverses its direction. As it moves away, a tank is seen seemingly firing upon the car, resulting in a sudden explosion that consumes the vehicle.
The video was shot by Saifi from another car that was parked at a distance.
Ahmed Maher, a senior political editor at the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG), reported that following the incident, Saifi was overheard saying, "they are shooting at an entire family" in the local language of Gaza.
Saifi was also heard warning other car drivers while leaving the scene.
Israeli troops and tanks attacked Gaza's main northern city from both sides on Monday, three days after they began a major ground offensive in Gaza.
Notably, 8,306 people have been killed in the Israeli strikes in Gaza, which started after the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas.
In addition, 1,400 people have also died in Israel after the attacks.
