‘Where is proof?’: Supreme Court to agencies during Manish Sisodia bail hearing

The Supreme Court asked probe agencies to show proof of AAP leader Manish Sisodia's role in the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam, saying that Sisodia didn't appear to be involved in the case.

The Supreme Court on Thursday asked agencies investigating the Delhi liquor policy case about what evidence they had on AAP leader Manish Sisodia's role in the alleged scam.

"Where is the proof? Where is the evidence? You have to establish a chain of events. Where are the proceeds of the crime?," the Supreme Court asked probe agencies, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

While hearing a bail petition by former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the Supreme Court remarked that Sisodia didn't appear to be involved in the case, and asked how he was accused in a money laundering case.

"Manish Sisodia does not seem to be involved in this case. Vijay Nair is there but not Manish Sisodia. How have you brought him under the money laundering act? The money is not going to him," the top court added.

The top court posed several critical questions to agencies investigating the Delhi liquor policy case, raising doubts about the strength of their case.
