Malaikottai Vaaliban box office collection Day 5: The earnings of Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film has been on a constant decline.
The downward journey of director Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malayalam film Malaikottai Vaaliban, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, continues at the box office. Despite a strong start on Thursday, its collections have been consistently lower than the previous day.
The film hit a new low on its first Monday in theatres, with nearly a 90 per cent decrease from its opening day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk’s early estimates, Malaikottai Vaaliban recorded an India nett collection of just Rs 65 lakh on its fifth day in theatres on Monday, bringing its total nett collection to Rs 11.45 crore. On its opening day, the film earned Rs 5.65 crore. So far, the film has grossed Rs 21.75 crore worldwide.
