IND-W vs BAN-W Highlights, Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Semifinal: India enter the final of the Women's Asia Cup with a 40-run win over Bangladesh. Deepti Sharma was on fire, picking up three wickets and sinking the Bangladesh chase. India seamer Kranti Gaud was expensive in her first two overs, allowing Bangladesh openers Juariya Ferdose and Dilara Akter to give their team a confident start. However, once the spinners came into action, Bangladesh struggled, finishing the Powerplay with just 26 runs and only going downhill from there.
India finished with a fine total of 149/5. Shafali started the proceedings with a half-century before a couple of cameos from Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma gave India the impetus they needed after a few overs slowed them down a tad in the middle overs.
Shafali held the Indian innings together with a fifty off 35 balls, but eventually lost her wicket after being dropped earlier on 6, 11 and 56. Harmanpreet Kaur found it tough to get going but remained unbeaten on 24 off 28 deliveries. Shafali and Pratika Rawal had added 50 runs for the second wicket.
Shafali unfurled quick fours and sixes to get India going. Nigar Sultana struck in her very first over as India lost star opener Smriti Mandhana for just 2. The Bangladesh captain won the toss and opted to bowl.
